Asif Ali Khan is a professional engineer and member of Pakistan Engineering Council. Since College days he is associated with progressive and nationalist politics. He was born in village Badrashi of Pukhtunkhwa. He strongly believe that religion has its roots in the soul and culture has its roots in the soil. He says that the worst act he hates in a human being is hypocrisy and the most respectable act of a person is giving priority to self respect. He viewed that in the name of democracy and religion serious crimes and sins are committed by the rulers in Pakistan. Of all the feelings that people have, the most beautiful is surely love and of all the things that one is capable of loving in the world the most intensive love has to be for one's own mother language and motherland
